UAE Embassy Updates Pakistani Traveler Visa Rules

For Pakistani nationals, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy has released updated visa instructions that include information on the necessary paperwork, the application procedure, and specific regulations for minors.
Visa Costs and the Application Procedure
The UAE Embassy claims that each individual must pay $69 (about Rs. 19,300) to process their visa. Visas for family, visitation, and tourism must be applied for online; employment visas need a different process.
Upon submission, candidates will be notified of their scheduled appointment at the visa facility or embassy.
Important Conditions for a UAE Visa
Travelers from Pakistan must provide the following paperwork in order to apply for a UAE visa:
- Proof of Visa Application: A copy of the application that was filed.
- Bank Statement: Six-month bank statement with a minimum amount of $5,000 (Rs. 1.4 million) that has been signed and stamped.
- Accommodation Proof: A reservation at a hotel, a lease for a house, or a letter of confirmation from a friend or family member abroad.
- Return Ticket: A ticket for a guaranteed return flight.
- Documentation of Identity: Original passport or National Identity Card (NIC), valid for a minimum of six months.
- Paying the Visa Fee: It is required that the original receipt be shown at the immigration facility and that the $69 charge be placed into a certain Al-Falah Bank account.
Process for Minors to Get a Visa
Different steps for minors have been laid down by the UAE Embassy according to their age:
- Children under five: No requirement to visit the visa facility. A white-background passport-sized picture is required.
- Ages 6 to 15: The visa facility will take their photo, so they do not need a separate passport-size photo.
- Ages 15 and above: The procedure is the same as for adults.
Biometric Confirmation
Prior to the processing of their application, applicants who are five years of age or older must complete biometric verification at the visa center.
